Summary:

    United Nations Foundation’s Clean Cooking Alliance seeks support for Clean Cooking & Climate Consortium. It aims to credit emissions reductions from cookstove projects and aid countries in achieving climate goals.

    Background:

    Clean Cooking Alliance strives for clean cooking accessibility worldwide. Since 2010, they’ve improved health, protected the environment, empowered women, and saved families time and money.

    Objective:

    Develop a method to credit emissions reductions from cookstove projects. It involves default values and incentives for measurement, reporting, and verification. Support countries in using clean cooking for climate goals.

    Scope of Work:

    1. Develop methodology for energy consumption, adoption, usage, emissions factors, biomass use, and charcoal conversion.
    2. Promote methodology with standards bodies, governments, agencies, and stakeholders.
    3. Provide capacity building on clean cooking and MRV.

    Project Duration:
    18 months, from November 2023 to May 2025.

    Technical Requirements:
    Experience in clean cooking technology, carbon methodologies, and working with governments.

    Budget:
    Estimated between $50,000-70,000 USD.
