Program Manager – Clean Cooking

The programme would support the Clean Cooking initiatives of multiple Indian States. The programme would assess the cooking energy requirements, sectors, and potential for cooking for these states in collaboration with relevant stakeholders which would then follow into the Designing and Development of a state-level Green Cooking program, and Effective Roll-out and Implementation of this Strategy/plan.

About the Role/Position – Program Manager

Manage the program end-to-end, along with the team on-ground. The responsibilities would include but not limited to:

Program Management & Reporting

  • End-to-end project management: planning, execution, monitoring, reporting and closure.
  • Develop activity plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies.
  • Coordinate partnerships with stakeholders: policymakers, enterprises, funding agencies, program partners, and service delivery teams.
  • Co-ordination with Experts for their Input and required outcome.
  • Lead the teams at State-level and lead the work of ground agencies/partners.
  • Manage progress reports, newsletters, and updates in physical and virtual formats.
  • Organize and maintain project data, ensuring timely execution and compliance.
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and annual progress reports for stakeholders.
  • Manage team dynamics and support team building.
  • Coordinate across teams and stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of project goals.

Knowledge Resource Development

  • Track advancements in clean cooking technologies, energy policies, and market trends.
  • Resource for Research, Workshops and Stakeholder connect workshops and outreach.
  • Guide the analysis and interpretation of project data, ensuring evidence-based decisions are made to optimize the technology and field interventions.
  • Engaging Experts and Internal Team for Report and other resource development.

Who Should Apply?

  • A Self-Starter with a prior experience of managing a large project with Implementation in multiple states (atleast in 2 States).
  • Strong network and connect with the relevant stakeholders.
  • Experience: 5 to 7 years of valid experience in clean cooking, energy transition/energy efficiency sector.
  • Post Graduate/MBA or equivalent.
  • Strong research, writing, and communication skills (both written and oral).
  • Ability to present complex ideas clearly to stakeholders at various levels, including government and industry partners.
  • Candidates with Clean cooking experience preferred.
