eCooking Training and Capacity Building

    Objective:

    On March 13th, 2024, the Modern Energy Cooking Services Programme (MECS), in collaboration with the State Designated Agency (SDA) of the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) Delhi Energy Efficiency and renewable Agency management Centre organized an eCooking training and Capacity building. This initiative aimed to gather experts and enthusiasts in eCooking, providing a platform for learning and skill development in clean cooking practices. Spearheaded by the SDA of BEE Delhi, the workshop sought to showcase cutting-edge eCooking devices and empower participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to embrace clean cooking practices, thereby contributing to a greener future.

    Activities Conducted:

    Renowned Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) such as Indian Oil Corp Limited and Smith Cucina took center stage at the workshop, presenting revolutionary eCooking solutions. Attendees had the opportunity to interact directly with the manufacturers, gaining insights into the technology and functionality behind each device. Highlights of the event included demonstrations of the Electric Pressure Cooker, offering efficiency and convenience for modern kitchens, and the Hybrid Indoor Solar Cooking Device, providing a glimpse into the future of sustainable cooking practices. The workshop witnessed a footfall of over 150 participants, including representatives from SDA Delhi, government officials, and local residents. Dr. Nick Rousseau, International Liaison Manager of the MECS Programme, and Mr. Vimal Kumar, MECS India Lead and Co-Founder of Finovista, were also present, engaging with participants and providing valuable insights.
