The High-Level Political Forum (HLPF) in 2026 will conduct the third global review of SDG7, offering a critical opportunity to assess progress, identify gaps, and define priorities for the remaining years to 2030. As this milestone approaches, urgent acceleration of action is needed to turn commitments into results and ensure no one is left behind in the global energy transition.
This event at the SDG Pavilion during COP30 will bring together government representatives, experts, and partners to review progress, share insights from Energy Compacts and other initiatives, and discuss practical ways to accelerate implementation in the final stretch toward 2030 and the 2026 HLPF review.
