eCooking Scale up and Support Programme: Scaling eCooking in Ugandan Schools – Tender Launched

Uganda is implementing the largest schools eCooking transition pilot in sub-Saharan Africa to date, and we are seeking companies to provide turn-key delivery of ecooking (electric upgrades and appliances) in 143 pre-selected schools. The schools are a mixture of primary and secondary, public, private, and government aided, and of varying sizes, ranging from hundreds to thousands of pupils.

We are looking for suppliers who understand the nature of this activity and are ready to work with MEMD, Ministry of Education and Sports (MoES), Uganda Electricity Distribution Company Limited (UEDCL), CIRCODU, the schools, and MECS to make this programme a success.

This tender is offered in four Lots, based on regional location of the schools. The value of a specific Lot is based on the number of schools and the estimated cost of works in those schools. Companies can apply for multiple Lots, but each region (Lot) must be submitted as a separate bid.

Consortium bids, where multiple companies/suppliers come together to provide all the necessary skills for delivery, are welcomed.  A lead company must be identified as the contract manager.

Download the bid documentation for a full outline of all requirements.
