The upcoming eCooking training session organized by IIT Bombay and JeVika in collaboration with their knowledge partner MECS in Gaya, Bihar, represents a significant step towards promoting clean cooking solutions in the region. The 5-day program is carefully structured to cater to various stakeholders of the business program, including Clean Cooking Champions, S-Mart Owners, Field Officers, and Jeevika’s officials. This comprehensive initiative aims to equip participants with the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively utilize and promote eCooking devices, fostering sustainable and clean energy practices in the community.
The first day of the training focuses on building a foundational understanding of electric cooking appliances, complemented by cooking demonstrations and an eCooking competition among participants. MECS in India plays a pivotal role throughout the program, contributing expertise in eCooking device demonstrations and facilitating a cooking demonstration. This firsthand experience from MECS adds a practical dimension to the training, enabling participants to witness the functionality and benefits of eCooking devices in action.
