The services to be provided under the assignment include:
Establish the baseline scenario (current status) of Malawi’s cooking sector based on proposed thematic areas (current cooking energy mix, technologies, and fuels) including the identification of key barriers, drivers, that are likely to affect further uptake of clean cooking solutions, key stakeholders in the value chain and opportunities.
Assess gender dimensions in Malawi’s clean cooking sub-sector (demand and supply sides) and provide recommendations for gender mainstreaming in the strategy’s design, implementation, and evaluation processes.
Develop a roadmap for universal access to clean cooking by 2030, outlining strategic interventions, timelines, cost estimates, and indicators for monitoring and evaluating progress.
