Universal FDR Data Mining Suite for IAF
Project Description
The user operates a diverse fleet of aircraft, each equipped with different Flight Data Recorder (FDR) systems that generate unique data formats and analysis requirements. The existing tools currently in use are platform-specific, which limits their ability to uniformly process and analyze data from multiple aircraft types. This lack of compatibility between systems leads to significant inefficiencies in critical processes such as post-flight analysis, maintenance, and operational readiness. Consequently, time-consuming workarounds are required to consolidate data, affecting the overall effectiveness of aircraft fleet management and reducing the ability to quickly address maintenance or operational issues.
Functional and Operational Requirements
The challenge is to develop a universal FDR data mining suite that leverages advances in artificial intelligence and data mining to provide comprehensive aircraft health monitoring across all aircraft fleets.
The universal FDR data mining suite should feature the following capabilities:
- Incorporate AI-driven analysis to identify both known and emerging issues, bypassing the limitations of traditional exceedance detection methods, which only focus on pre-defined parameters.
- Provide customized GUI and functionalities that can be tailored to different aircraft fleets, allowing for a flexible and scalable approach to flight data analysis.
- Integrate with the existing e-MMS ERP system, creating a robust system that allows for real-time monitoring of aircraft health, safety, and performance.
Testing and Certification Requirements
The Universal Flight Data Recorder (FDR) Data Mining Suite must undergo performance, accuracy, and interoperability testing across various aircraft platforms. It must meet standards for data integrity, security, and real-time analysis.
Certification is required from DGQA, DGCA, and IAF.
