About Programme
The position focuses on advancing clean cooking initiatives within the broader context of energy access and sustainability. The role will leverage research to address the challenges associated with traditional cooking practices, which affect and contribute to significant health and environmental issues.
This role is suitable for candidates from a variety of professional backgrounds including those with research, consulting, think-tank, and corporate experience. The candidate will get the chance to explore innovative solutions for transitioning from traditional way of cooking to cleaner cooking alternatives, such as electric and gas, solar, biofuels, and other cleaner alternatives etc. The work will aim to improve health outcomes, promote gender equality, and mitigate climate change impacts linked to household energy use.
Candidate will support the development and promotion of modern energy cooking solutions, contributing to a more sustainable and equitable future. The research will play a vital role in informing policies and practices that enhance the quality, reliability, and sustainability of energy services.
About the Role/Position
The responsibilities would include but not limited to: Research & Knowledge Resource Development
a.) Conduct desk-based research to track sector developments and create a credible repository of information.
b.) Develop research inputs for ongoing programs and projects, ensuring they align with key objectives.
c.) Plan and conduct both one-to-one consultations and multi-stakeholder consultations, consolidating findings into short reports.
d.) Develop credible knowledge resources such as short/long reports, case studies, and blogs for publication and sharing with stakeholders.
e.) Write policy briefs targeted at specific audiences and research papers suitable for high-quality academic publication.
f.) Create agendas and notes for meetings, capacity building programs, workshops, and conferences, preparing minutes and ensuring dissemination of information.
g.) Provide qualitative research inputs for business proposals and other strategic
documents.
h.) Track advancements in clean cooking technologies, energy policies, and market trends, ensuring alignment with broader program goals.
